A Vietnamese Groundhog day

The past few months in Mui Ne, Vietnam it has the been peak season for me in my school kite-n-surf.com. It has been one of the best seasons for wind I can remember.

It felt a bit like Groundhog Day, with 20 knots plus and minimum head high waves for at least three months straight. You know it's a good season when your beach flags only last one month!

We even scored solid typhoon surf early in the season in a few secret bays a few hours up north, that were protected from the 40-50 knots plus wind and 5 meter swell.

This month however the wind and swell Gods are having a bit of a well-earned rest, which is good timing because the flow of students and tourists is slowing down.

So soon I will have some time on my hands for a bit of exploring… I have a few islands in mind in the South China Seas – stay tuned 😉
