CBK Hayling Island

We’re delighted to introduce the Much Morocco Student Kitesurfing Association National Championships for 2018. Let’s get things straight – don’t expect too many KGB’s or Kung Fu handle passes from the UK’s student talent. These ladies and gentlemen are far too busy studying (pretty sure it was drinking in my day) to dedicate too much time to the frivolous sport of kitesurfing, Instead, they’ll be frothing about the conditions, debating kite sizes and, if we’re lucky, throwing down some simple inverts and rotations. Dubious freestyle talent not withstanding, the 2018 Much Morocco Student Kitesurfing National Championship event aims to sum up what student kitesurfing is all about; it doesn’t matter if you’re a complete beginner or experienced rider, everyone is welcome and encouraged to put on a competition vest and try out that elusive trick they’ve been warming up to (or not, it is March after all) in front of a supportive and probably slightly abusive crowd.

Equally, there’ll be space for some casual kiting further along the beach if that’s more your thing. To those who aren’t part of university life but interested in getting involved with a growing and thriving scene, head on down to CBK Hayling Island and have a chat with some of us – we’ll happily give you the run down on what we do and how we do it. We’ll be supported on the beach by these legends; Liquid Force, Brunotti, and Under the Lip, and we owe a special thanks to Much Morocco for their generous and ongoing support.

Find the event on Facebook, and we’ll see you on the beach for an epic weekend of kiting!
