Besides, its powerful lift and impressive floaty hangtime will amaze even the most experienced big air hero. The 2022 Evo SLS is the ultimate quiver killer. If your riding is not defined by one category and you froth to excel across several disciplines, there’s no better kite for you than the Evo SLS!
Duotone Designer Ralf Grösel fills us in on the design changes for 2022 in response to the feedback from the previous model. Received by the industry and riders as a real gamechanger, the demand for the first Evo SLS was huge. The 2022 version is the next level! Letting us in on some technical insights into the most significant changes, Ralf describes how he’s using the synergies from one model to the next to help inform the sequential development of several different Duotone kite models every season. With the latest Dice SLS being one of the biggest influencers of the 2022 Evo SLS, we learn more about the characteristics and improvements of the new kite and what kind of rider it is best suited for. Finally, Ralf shares with us his recommended settings and explains why Duotone decided to add two additional kite sizes (13sqm and 14sqm) to the Evo SLS range for 2022.
We chat to international team riders Reno Romeu, Hannah Whiteley and Noé Font, three riders with very different styles, about their impressions of the brand-new Evo SLS. Find out why Hannah, who usually rides the Rebel and the Dice, will have the Evo SLS from now on in her quiver. Reno explains why he prefers the new Evo SLS with its more direct feeling at the bar to the previous model. Riding an Evo for the very first time, Noé, a die-hard fan of the Vegas, couldn’t get enough of it: having had great fun foiling with the Evo SLS in lighter winds, he then boosted massive airs in howling winds during the photoshoot in Greece, with footstraps (as opposed to boots) for the first time in ages! Furthermore, the three share with us why they believe this kite truly suits all levels of riders and go on to explain their preferred settings and why.
