At Amouditis Kite Center, we offer an unparalleled experience that combines thrill and safety at Plaka Beach. What sets us apart is our unique approach – kitesurfing lessons take place from a boat, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment. We are the only kite center in this area – you will have the entire spot as your playground, away from the crowds, other students and kiters, giving you the freedom to learn and practice at your own pace and progress faster.
Our kitesurfing plans are taught privately or semi-privately with radio assistance and by boat. All students are provided with the latest kite gear, wetsuits, harnesses, impact vests and helmets. Safety comes first. Your safety is our biggest concern – you don’t have to be worried during your session, a rescue boat is always stand by. Avoid the Crowd – our slogan says it all. You won’t find overcrowded waters here. Experience the joy of kiting alone.
KITING SETUP
Perfect conditions for beginners: Plaka Beach is an ideal spot for beginners to learn kitesurfing. The endless space for practicing provides a safe and enjoyable learning experience, even if you have never tried the sport before. Consistent winds: the beach benefits from the reliable Meltemi winds, especially during the summer months. These steady winds provide the perfect conditions for kiting, making it easier for beginners to get the hang of controlling the kite.
WHEN IS BEST TO GO?
Naxos, the largest of the Cyclades Islands in Greece, with more than 250 windy days during the year is a paradise for kitesurfing enthusiasts. With its crystal-clear blue waters, golden-white sandy beaches, steady winds, and breathtaking landscapes, Naxos offers the perfect setting for an unforgettable kitesurfing experience. However, choosing the right time to visit is crucial for maximizing your enjoyment. Naxos offers a kitesurfing heaven throughout the year, but the best time for your visit is April to November.
NO WIND?
Naxos, a gem in the Aegean Sea, is well-known among kitesurfing enthusiasts for its windy beaches that provide the perfect conditions for an adrenaline-packed day. However, the island’s charm isn’t limited to its gusty shores. On days when the wind decides to take a break, Naxos reveals a different side, offering a wide range of activities that promise a day full of adventure. Let’s explore what Naxos has in store on those calm, no-wind days: hiking Mount Zeus, savoring Greek traditional cuisine, exploring villages, or take a look into Naxian life on day trips to nearby islands.
From Athens you can reach Naxos either by plane or by ferry. You can fly to the islands Mykonos, Santorini or Crete and continue your travel from there to Naxos by ferry.
