Asia Next Generation Episode 1: Boracay

“One year ago, a promising young talent from Singapore started the adventure to become the next best Asian kiteboarder in the world.

At the age of 14, he is currently 9th on the Youth Kiteboarding World Cup and when he is not competing, he does’t waist any time and he tries to travel as much as he can for training to fight for his final goal.

Robby James went to Boracay for three weeks to meet his best friend Christian Tio and have the opportunity to be coached by the Spaniard Albert Moreno, the youngest person to kitesurf Jaws.

From starting with basic tricks like the sbend, and working on to back mobes, Robby shows a really quick progression in a really short time.

Surely we will need to keep an eye on this young talent. This is just the beginning of a new generation of kiteboarders from Asia.”
