The 2026 Freeride Collection from North is built to ride the conditions as they are and not as you wish they’d be. Focused around two core freeride pillars, the Reach and the Prime, the collection is aimed at riders of any background, from beginners to pro, and disciplines who want a single, capable quiver that simply works: freeride, surf, foil and light-wind sessions without compromise.
Lively, nimble, and easy to ride, the 2026 Reach is our most versatile go-to kite in all conditions. Lighter overall with more reactive steering, we’ve slimmed down the N Max2 LE for faster-flying and turning & added an extra bridle attachment point for support.
The kite’s new profile enables cleaner airflow and a smoother feel, with more lift for easier transitions, while its new zigzag-shaped PTP2 panels provide optimal seam tensioning and aerodynamics.
The 2026 Reach has a more swept design, slightly higher aspect ratio, and refined bridle positioning points for more direct steering and dynamic recovery, with quick, responsive depower.
It excels in light wind and surf, and gives rise to confident boosts, freeride and freestyle. In the 13-19m, the Reach is a fast-flying light wind kite with consistent drive forward for TwinTip riding, long after everyone else has gone in.
The 2026 Prime is so much more than an entry-level board. A sweet performer in all wind and water conditions, it tracks upwind smoothly and slices splash-free through the chop. Instantly familiar, intuitive and comfortable feel, the Prime is constructed in our Composite layup. Its rounded outline enables controlled edging in a range of conditions, while the progressive single concave with shallow rocker enables supports fast early planing and edge hold. A structurally reinforced deck with an indent provides grip for board-offs, while the softer flex helps deliver forgiving landings. The Prime helps you progress faster in your freeride game.
