Having fun on the water means so much more than just kite- or windsurfing. We do our best every day to make a variety of surfing sports available to you, and all have two things in common. The challenge with the elements in nature and endless fun with like-minded people. We offer kitesurfing trips in destinations within: Canary Islands, Cape Verde Islands, Caribbean, Egypt, Mauritius, Morocco, Spain,Turkey and Greece.

Our kite and windsurf instructors are certified by IKO and VDWS, teach with professional equipment from ION, Fanatic and Duotone as well as other safety elements such as the B2B two-way radio, jet skis and lifeboats. They are always there for you, safe and reliable, in a familiar, relaxed atmosphere on site.

We are an internationally grown team all passionate about our sports, and with 35 years of valuable experience. With passion and lifestyle, individualists and characters, action and excitement, enjoyment and freedom, culture and friendship, nature and diversity, respect and sustainability, we want to celebrate and live with you for the next 30 years.

Can you summarize what you do?

Windsurfing, kitesurfing, surfing, and now wing foiling are the sources of our total commitment! The extraordinary and inspiring places where our ION CLUB centers are located promise to be the backdrop for the most exciting days of your year. Our professional and specialised skills motivate and bring our guests to the next level. These qualities are underpinned by the fact that we use the latest equipment and operate at only the very best spots on the planet. Our guests can always find the latest 2024 equipment for rental and qualified instructors for lessons no matter your level: beginner, intermediate, or advanced.

Where are you based, and when were you established?

We were established in 1985. We are still and will always have our base in Germany. In 2022, we inaugurated our second international office in Tarifa. For 4 years now, our international team has been split and works from different places in Europe. Tarifa, Paris, Marseille, Kos… Then we have centerss in Fuerteventura, Tarifa, Golf de Roses, Safaga, Mauritius, Cabarete, Cape Verde, Essaouira and Dakhla, Greece, …

Where are most of your clients from?

Most of our clients come from Germany, France, England, Spain, and Switzerland. However, we also have a lot of clients from Austria, Italy, Poland, and Eastern Europe. At ION CLUB, you will meet like-minded people from all over the world, and our company has always given top priority to customer orientation, team spirit, innovation, and professionalism.

How long have you and your team been kiting?

Our company was one of the first to offer kitesurfing as an option back in 2001.

What makes you special compared to other kiting businesses?

The story of lON CLUB is about people who have turned their passion for windsurfing and kitesurfing and now wingfoiling into a career. So, we trust our international team to ensure that our guests can enjoy every second of their holidays, whether on the land or the water. Their enthusiasm is the guarantee that you get the moments you are searching for.

Can you talk us through some special moments from your most recent trip/season?

Overall, all ION CLUB centers are living changes, and every change is a special moment in our season. But above all, at ION CLUB we believe that every journey is an opportunity to create unforgettable memories. For many years we have had the privilege of sharing these memorable moments with our customers, and today we are excited to take that even further. Booking your accommodation with ION CLUB is now available on our website. With a foundation at the best spots for many years, we have established strong connections with renowned hotels. These strong connections allow us to offer more than just a windsurfing, wingfoiling or kitesurfing adventure – they provide a complete experience.

Moreover, we are delighted to announce the opening of our brand-new ION CLUB center at the magnificent White Dune, located in Dakhla, in the middle of the desert.

Is anything special lined up for the next few months?

After being the first to create the Club Mistral dedicated to windsurfing in the 80s, then having developed kiting since the 2000s, since 2020 we are developing wingfoil and continue to develop it at all our ION CLUB centers!  We are currently still equipping all our ION CLUBs with wing gear, and welcoming to the family of board sports, this third activity for all wind lovers.
