Where are most of your clients from?

Our clients are from USA, Canada and Europe.

How long have you and your team been kiting?

Kite Boat Cruises was born from the imagination to kiteboard in the best spots around the world.

We spent our earlier years traveling around the world and searching for the best kitesurfing destinations. We sailed through the tropics and followed the wind in search of the most exotic kitesurfing and surfing spots.

Open sea and water sports, our two biggest passions, and a vital part of our lives. Finally, we found it! The Bahamas is a paradise for sailing and kitesurfing. Pristine beaches, fair winds, and killer bays for some of the best kitesurfing we have ever seen. Get off the beaten path, explore with us and let us share our passion.

Aritz lives for sailing and loves to share his passion for the sea with his guests. Born and raised in Spain, he spent his earlier years sailing and teaching kitesurfing around the world.

After working as a kitesurfing instructor in Morocco, Egypt, Netherlands, and St. Vincent, and the Grenadines, he realized that the best destinations are accessible only by boat and shifted his focus to becoming a Captain.

Aritz now has over 50,000 miles under his belt. With 10 Atlantic crossings, 6 as Captain, you could say he loves to sail. He has spent three charter seasons in Greece and three in The Bahamas. He loves to share adventures of sailing and kiting with people.

What makes you special compared to other kiting businesses?

We are a crew of three with a Captain, instructor, and personal chef. We provide luxury services private lessons, the latest North gear, free rentals, and high-end meals from trained chefs. We want you to have a kiting and sailing experience you won’t forget.

We have two catamaran that run all through the kiting season. You get to pick the size of boat that fits your group size.

We offer both private booking and sell charters with just cabins.

We are flexible in our start date and length of stay. We do our best to cater all our charters to our guests’ requests. Who wouldn’t want two weeks in the Bahamas!

Can you talk us through some special moments from your most recent trip/season?

One of our favourite spots is Norman’s Cay for kiting. Pablo Escobar’s famous airplane wreck is next to our anchorage spot and in a huge shallow area with sandbars at low tide. We set up the kites close to the boat and the wreck and explored the big bay next to the old, small airport of Pablo Escobar. The plane wreck is fun to cruise around for advanced kiters, but it is a must-see to go snorkelling and dive in this old legend, full of corals and coloured fishes. You may even discover a huge manta or a baby nurse shark with some luck!

  • Wind:  South and North Side on shore
  • Waves: Flat-water, shallow area
  • Wavebreak: None

Anything special lined up for the next few months?

With New Years, Spring break and Easter coming up we have lots of families joining us. We are hosting a promotional charter with pro-rider Tom Bridge in February.

My favourite is that we have repeat customers who will be having a wedding on the boat in April. Kiting and a wedding…magic!

And why should our readers choose to spend their hard earned money with you?

You will experience different kite spots every day. Kite in your board shorts whether we are on flat waters, at our favorite wave spots, or going on our down-winders.
