KITING SET UP

Flat water or big waves? Outer Bank’s unique location has a varied spectrum of conditions to suit whatever your discipline or style of riding, all within a short 20-minute drive. With miles of open water to cruise, there’s plenty of space despite this being a popular location. The geographical layout also offers an abundance of downwinders. Plus, you’ll always feel safe with OBX, as they offer chase support vessels and as an added bonus, you’ll never have to return to site to switch your gear.

WHEN IS BEST TO GO?

Temperate waters and a solid 20 knots makes April through to November the most inviting time to visit.

NO WIND?

If you’re unlucky to have a few days without wind, don’t fret as there’s stacks of options for adventurers. Join the e-foil frenzy, go surfing, take a plane ride or set out to the open ocean for some of the best fishing in the world.
