Wet Skillz is not an ordinary watersport centre. What describes us is the professionalism and the community which we have created through the kite camps we organised for 7 years now. We are all kiters and we all know how a kite trip should be. It’s all about the community, meeting new like minded people from all over the world. Laid back atmosphere, the charming housing and the handpicked activities is what makes our camps so unique.

The centre offers a private beach only for the centre users, kite and wingfoil lessons for all the levels with radio communication by IKO certified instructions, gear rental, storage, supervision and rescue boat, outdoor gym, kite shade, snacks and drinks on the spot and a small kite shop.

Off the water, enjoy a stay in a stone farmhouse in the most scenic area of the valley, dinner nights in the best local tavernas with all the crew, SUP cave excursions, yoga classes by the beach and private sailing trip to Symi island.

THE LOWDOWN

Once you visit Theologos, Rhodes,  it will become your summer kite destination forever. Apart from all the historical sights, beautiful sunny weather and the amazing colors of the water is what makes Rhodes such a popular summer destination. It is also one of the best windsport destinations in Europe with reliable wind and warm water and air temperatures, and is easily accessible from most cities in Europe with a direct flight. Wet Skillz is no ordinary watersport center. What sets us apart is the professionalism and the community which we have created through the kite camps we’ve organized for seven years now. A laid back atmosphere, charming housing in a scenic area surrounded by olive trees, and handpicked activities are what make our camps so unique.

KITING SET UP

Wet Skillz Kite Center is located on Theologos beach, far away from all-inclusive hotels and mass tourism, with the largest kite zone on the island. With a large launching and landing area, there is also plenty of space in the water for learners and other kiters that need space to practice their moves. Ideal for kite foiling or wingfoiling since the water gets deep just 20m from the beach and the wind blows cross onshore. The wind starts blowing lightly in the morning which is ideal for beginner lessons and foiling, picks up around noon, then keeps blowing constantly until the sun goes down. The water conditions are fairly easy with most days being flat to small chop. In stronger winds, we get some small but pretty clean waves. We offer kite and wingfoil lessons and coaching with radio communication, gear rental and storage.

WHEN IS BEST TO GO?

The Meltemi winds blow from May until the end of October. At the beginning of the season the winds are usually lighter, picking up in the afternoon. The peak of the season is from mid-June to mid-September with consistent winds between 20 and 25 knots on average. In the autumn the wind direction can turn slightly and blow more from the north creating some amazing wave conditions.

NO WIND?

You can keep fit with a workout at our outdoor gym or join in the yoga classes by the beach. Additionally you can work on your foil skills with our brand new e-foil and be ready for the next wingfoil or kite foil session. You can enjoy the coastline of Theologos on a SUP or do a SUP tour on the other side of the island that has crystal clear water and amazing caves. There is a sailing day trip to Symi island with other kiters on non-windy days. Beside all the beach activities, Rhodes island has plenty to offer with many archeological sites to visit such as the medieval town of Rhodes or the Acropolis of Lindos.
