Nika Ballus, current holder of the Guinness World record for the longest unsupported kitesurfing journey, suffered a life changing accident in 2019 that sent her to hospital for over a year. Still recovering from the full reconstruction of her foot, in April last year she set off for the first solo unsupported traverse of Finnish and Norwegian Lapland, with only her skis, kites and a sled… and it was a hell of an adventure!
