I started kiting when I was 14. Previously I had focused on triathlon, but after recovering from an injury, I wanted to try something more fun and playful. One day when walking with my parents on a beach full of kiters, I felt instantly drawn to it and asked if I could try taking some lessons. From the first session, I loved it and it quickly became my passion. That very beach became my home spot, where I now train every day of the week.
New Caledonia is a true paradise, especially for wind sports. With its beautiful landscapes, sunny weather, and consistent wind almost every day, it’s one of the best places in the world. The setting is stunning, offering incredible views while riding, and the wind conditions make it perfect for freestyle. Thanks to the reliable forecast, freestyle has become my main discipline, making every session smooth and enjoyable.
I’ve been riding the FS and Commander AG Pro twintip for the past three years, ever since I joined Eleveight, and it’s been my go-to gear ever since. I’ve always loved the combo for freestyle – it perfectly suits my riding style and gives me everything I need to push my freestyle to the next level. The FS is the kite I started freestyle with and the Commander is perfect for my freestyle riding.
I absolutely love riding the FS – it’s the kite that’s seen me grow and progress since the very beginning, and is truly amazing especially in lightwind conditions. The FS is a high-performance kite that turns quickly and delivers solid power, which makes it really stand out. It’s played a big role in my development and continues to be the perfect match for my freestyle riding.
The Commander allows me to get super explosive pop, which is ideal for throwing down my craziest tricks. It manages to be stiff enough during takeoff to give that solid push, but still soft and forgiving on landings. With this board, I’ve never had any issues training relentlessly and pushing myself to land the tricks I’ve always dreamed of. It allows me to keep progressing a lot every session and helps me unlock new freestyle tricks.
I’ve tried all Eleveight’s kites and boards. I’ll use the XS for Big Air – it helps me train for my most technical tricks – and the awesome RS/RS+ for Big Air/freeride. In combination with these kites, I ride the Stellar and Master C+ boards which pair perfectly with them. For freestyle competitions, I stick to the FS and Commander, my dream combo for achieving the best performance. However, if I’m competing in Big Air, I’ll switch to my Big Air setup.
Since I started competing in kiting, I’ve dreamed of becoming a world champion. After years of hard work and sacrifice to reach that goal, I finally won the Junior World Championships in 2023 in Tarifa. I also hold two French Championship titles, from 2021 and 2024, and earned the Vice World Champion title in 2024. For all these competitions, I rode with the FS kite and Commander twintip.
What I love about Eleveight is that they’re always open to discussion. I can give them feedback about what I like or don’t like, and it’s a real exchange. It’s also part of my role as a rider to provide that feedback, helping to improve the gear and make it even better. This communication makes the relationship much stronger and more meaningful.
Last year was incredible, with so much travel – I went to Spain, Greece, Brazil and France – it was a whirlwind. Recently I was riding in my home country, New Caledonia, and the conditions were amazing. There’s something special about riding in familiar conditions at home. It felt so good to return home, reconnect with my routine, and spend time with my loved ones. But now I’m already back on the road, and most of these shots are from France.
This year I’ll be competing in all the stages of the GKA World Tour for the first time. I’ve already proven myself in the junior category, but now it’s time to show what I’m capable of in the senior ranks, going up against the best riders in the world. As I’m writing this, I’m heading to Egypt for a training camp ahead of the next GKA stop. It’s an exciting challenge, and I’m ready to give it my all! ■
